Scott was born in Charleston, WV, but grew up on Johns Island. Raised in a Roman Catholic family, Scott was not exposed to biblical teaching and sound doctrine until a Bible study during his time in high school. The Lord used this Bible study, along with a faithful college ministry at Clemson University a few years later, to lead Scott to repentance and faith in Christ alone.
After college, Scott returned to the Charleston area. In late 2016, Scott and his family began attending the church plant that would soon become Holy City Church. The Koenig family became members of Holy City in early 2017.
Scott owns Koenig Homes, a company that builds custom homes on Kiawah Island. He also serves on the Holy City welcome team and in the Holy City Kids ministry. Scott loves to serve the saints at Holy City Church, as well as help free the pastors up so that they might be devoted to the Word and prayer.
Scott is married to Suzanne and they have three children.
